The Imaging Systems
International group of companies (ISI) constitutes a
multimillion-dollar international enterprise that, having
been one of the initial pioneers in its industry, is
a market leader in the manufacture and distribution
of replacement printer, facsimile, and copier ink cartridges.
ISI supplies recycled/remanufactured and OEM compatible
Inkjet, Laser printer and Fax cartridges and supplies
to both the wholesale/dealer market as well as directly
to the larger end-user market.
ISI does business with major, multinational corporations
such as Sony Corporation, NEC, Honda, Bridgestone, and
Hitachi Corporation as well as with many public sector
government agencies and organizations throughout
North America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim. ISI
enjoys a top level reputation in the marketplace for
meeting and supporting the needs of all its customers;
producing and delivering high quality, reliable products;
possessing a substantial capacity to fulfill its commitments
to customers; and delivering a comprehensive line of
replacement printer supplies - all at a significant
cost savings to its customers.
ISI remanufactures over 170 different types of inkjet
and laser toner replacement cartridges and supplies
thousands of other kinds of new OEM and aftermarket
cartridges for the numerous printer, fax and copier
models in the marketplace, including the complete product
lines of the greater market share companies in the U.S.
such as Hewlett Packard, Canon, Lexmark, and Epson.
The company is American owned and has its manufacturing
plants in Japan and Malaysia. ISI began its first manufacturing
operations in Japan over a decade ago at a time when
the non-OEM printer cartridge replacement industry was
just getting off the ground. We had to design, develop
and perfect our own manufacturing and distribution infrastructure
without the vendor support network that is available
to companies entering the printer supply industry today.
At first, entering the market and starting up manufacturing
operations in Japan was a mixed blessing. On one hand,
we were able to draw our production labor force from
a very industrious, very competent, and very cost effective
local labor pool. This condition, also now replicated
in our newer plant in Malaysia, is currently a key ingredient
in ISI's ability to optimize production efficiencies
as well as deliver a cost effective value proposition
to its customers.
On the other hand, the Japanese market had, and still
does have, stringent requirements for quality, reliability
and service support from local vendors that presented
a formidable challenge to ISI in the first few years
of the company's existence. Moreover, the Japanese market
is very tough on foreign owned companies that attempt
to break into and compete in their own local market.
Our Japanese customers still do continually hold our
feet to the fire. Fortunately, that experience tempers
great strength into our manufacturing and quality control
processes. That is the primary reason why, today, ISI
products enjoy a favored reputation for quality and
reliability throughout Japan and the rest of the world.
